Llanelli Art Society was formed in 1927 by a small group of Artist`s " The objects of the Society shall be to stimulate in Llanelli and District the practice and appreciation of Art" Constitution and Rules.

Today the Membership is 170

Annual Subscription fee - £15 - £25 for couples

Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the Month at the Conservative club, Cowell St. Llanelli
Demonstrators/Speakers clearly heard and seen with the aid of our Lottery Grant ,Sound system Digital Projector and large Screen.

Exhibitions

Winter Exhibition    
Held in the Nevill Gallery, Public Library, Llanelli. Artist/Adjudicator for the Hugh Richards Award.( professional artist`s not eligable for this award)

The Bill Nicholas award for the best Watercolour painting in the Exhibition

Summer Exhibition
Held in June in the Nevill Gallery, Public Library, Llanelli Artist Adjudicator for the Emlyn Roberts Award to Winning Exhibit

Members Vote for there favourite Painting / sculpture/ ceramic for the Lauretta Williams Memorial Award
£100 prize from Margaretta Williams- Brown ( neice) Canada.

Three Towns Exhibition

The Three Towns Exhibition is held in turn between Carmarthen, Ammanford and Llanelli . Adjudicator for the Ken Etheridge Award.
